Our Facilities
Sacramento City College was founded in 1916 as a department of Sacramento High School. It is the seventh oldest public community college in California and the oldest institution of higher learning in Sacramento. The main campus is located in the heart of Sacramento. The college enrolls a diverse community of over 20,000 students and offers multicultural activities throughout the academic year.
Sacramento City College also provides use of our facilities to the community: from the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, conference rooms, numerous classrooms, to the iconic Hughes Stadium. Throughout the campus, well-recognized architectural features such as archways, columns, and brick have been preserved through renovations. This maintains the collegiate and prestigious look and feel.
