Students in SCC’s Aircraft Maintenance Technician program and taking classes at McClellan can earn associate degrees or certificates in Airframe, Powerplant, Combined Airframe and Powerplant, and Flight Technology. In 2013, FedEx donated a Boeing 727 to the SCC Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program, which is used as a stationary aircraft to train Aircraft Maintenance Technician and aviation students.

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician program (formally known as Aeronautics) moved to McClellan Park, formerly McClellan Air Force Base, in 2011.
