The California Dream Act allows undocumented and nonresident students who qualify for a non-resident exemption under Assembly Bill 540 (AB 540) to receive certain types of state-based financial aid. The California Dream Act Application (CADAA) is separate from the FAFSA and is unrelated to the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Confidentiality: All information submitted through the CADAA is kept private and protected. It is not shared with federal agencies and will not affect immigration status or future immigration applications.
