The Mini Market at the West Sacramento Center is here to help students find essential food, personal care items, and other necessities in a supportive environment where every student is valued and welcomed.
Items are provided by Panther Cares and follow the same guidelines. Panther Cares Center supports students experiencing housing and food insecurity by connecting them with community resources, such as CalFresh, technology, and emergency financial assistance, to address their basic needs and achieve financial stability.

Available items include:
- Shelf-stable food
- Hygiene kits
- Menstrual kits
- The Mini Market aims to provide extra support for your weekly grocery needs, helping to reduce expenses.
- You must be actively enrolled in a 3-unit course at Sacramento City College during the current academic semester.
- Each student is allowed to pick up a maximum of 5 items per week at the West Sacramento Center.
- Each student receives 10 credits per week. Your credit balance resets every Monday, and unused credits do not roll over.
- Remaining credits can be used at The Panther Cares Market on the Main Campus.
- Only one visit per household is permitted.
- Please bring a reusable bag if possible.
Fruitful Outreach
Every week during the fall and spring semesters, an assortment of complimentary, nutritious fruits and snacks is made available to registered students.
These are provided to help keep you nourished and energized, to help you focus on your coursework and study time.
