The Textbook Voucher program provides students with the opportunity to request additional financial assistance in purchasing required textbooks.
To qualify for this assistance, students must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA or CADAA, or by applying for the Los Rios Promise program.
Vouchers will be available until funding is exhausted. The last day for students to use the vouchers at the bookstore is June 20, 2025.
Guidelines
- SCC has been designated as the student's home school and distributes the student's financial aid.
- Must be enrolled in a 3-unit course at Sacramento City College.
- Textbook vouchers are provided after other aid such as Financial Aid or EOPS.
- Eligible students can receive up to $150 per request.
- No refunds are provided on textbooks if purchased prior to voucher approval.
- Textbook vouchers are only for required books.
- Vouchers can only be used at the SCC Bookstore.
Textbook Voucher Return Policy
Summer Semester
- Textbooks, in their original condition, can be returned for a full refund.
- Returns are accepted up until the Friday of each session's start date.
- The key return dates are June 13 and June 20, 2025.
Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
