Job description for the Senator office of the Student Senate.

  • Senators shall select or be assigned to be a liaison/representative with one of the campus departments. Each Senator may represent an additional division at their own discretion.
  • Maintain and implement a method of communicating with the students they represent. Maintain communication with their campus department by posting all relevant information and any upcoming events sponsored by the Student Senate.
  • Submit a report every other month on activities of their office to the Vice President of the Student Senate. 
  • Encourage student involvement in all Student Associate Council activities. 
  • Regularly attend and be voting members of the Student Senate Standing Committees (Finance, Legislative Affairs, Public Relations, Sustainability, Technology, Discipline, Elections, and/or a special projects ad hoc committee). 
  • Hold posted office hours to be served in the Student Senate office and on Zoom.  
  • Coordinate digital communications with the Secretary of Technology, who will set up digital report forms.
