The Student Associated Council (SAC) is a team of student leaders who represent the voice of the student body. Everyone can be included, there are lots of ways to get involved. Ask us!

SAC is composed of three different groups:

The Student Senate is dedicated to making the college experience better for everyone and making sure the voices of the students are heard.

The Clubs and Events Board promotes the intellectual, artistic, and social life of students by supporting authorized clubs and events.

Transcript Notation Request

If you would like your Student Associated Council involvement noted on your official SCC transcript, then you must submit this form.

All requirements must be met in order to have “Recognized Student Leader” noted on your transcript. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the Advisor directly. Thank you.

FAQs

The process of appointment to Clubs & Events Board

  1. Review the Candidate Information Sheet.
  2. Complete the  Candidacy Verification and Public Information Form. The Supervisor uses this information to verify candidate eligibility. Once appointed, contact information will be included on the SAC roster. Any information provided on the Candidate Information Sheet may be shared with the public.
  3. Meet with the Student Leadership & Development Supervisor for an orientation.
  4. Attend a CAEB meeting (Tuesdays). You may be appointed to the board by a vote of the Clubs and Events Board. You may be asked to speak about yourself or why you wish to join CAEB, your familiarity with the  Student Associated Council Constitution and the  CAEB Bylaws, and your understanding of the position you are seeking.

Yes! Any currently enrolled student at Sacramento City College can get involved. Check out the info on the website, and let us know your questions. We can get you connected!

What is involved?

You may participate by attending a meeting or serving on a committee. You can also request to join the Student Senate or the Clubs and Events Board. The first step to join a board is to attend regular meetings. Check the calendar for meeting days and times. Each position has job duties to perform, and all must attend the mandatory trainings. Contact us with any questions.
