Dual Enrollment and Pre-College Advancement
Paving the way from high school to higher education.
Our Dual Enrollment and Pre-College Advancement Program allows students to take college courses at their high school and simultaneously earn college and high school credit. Dual enrollment courses are offered at no cost to students.
Our vision is to equitize students' access to and success in higher education – especially those from historically underserved populations in the greater Sacramento region – by providing clear and attainable pathways into Los Rios and beyond.

CCAP vs. General Dual Enrollment
There are two types of dual enrollment: College & Career Access Pathway (CCAP) Dual Enrollment and General Dual Enrollment. CCAP Dual Enrollment differs from General Dual Enrollment in a few important ways:
- CCAP Dual Enrollment courses are funded by the Hispanic Serving Institution Early College Program Grant. Students do not pay for any course enrollment fees and materials for courses.
- Students enrolled in CCAP Dual Enrollment courses are guaranteed to count for both high school and college credit.
- CCAP Dual Enrollment courses are closed college classes for students attending a High School with an active MOU.
- Because of the smaller class sizes and the limited number of sections offered, students have access to student support specialists for any support needed during their time with the program.
