Latino/a students at Sacramento City College succeed because our rich community, including the support and leadership of our Comunidad, rally behind them, and remind them, “¡Si Se Puede!” 

Here are more of our commitments:

  • SCC is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), and is committed to serving, supporting, and affirming our diverse Latino/a student community, which makes up 33.3% of our student community.
  • Promote Latino/a equity, inclusion, empowerment, leadership, culture, and historical contributions, through meaningful opportunities
  • Facilitate an environment for Latino/a students that provides academic, professional, and social opportunities that critically engage identity and build community
  • Remove barriers to success and advocate on behalf issues that impact Latino/a students
  • Amplify Latino/a voices, foster important dialogue, inspire change and provide opportunities for peer and intergenerational mentorship
