Sacramento City College MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement Program) is an equity-focused program that supports students majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) pathways to transfer to a 4-year university to earn a bachelor's degree and enter a STEM career.

Two Types of MESA Participation

MESA VIP Scholars

This program is for students who are in MESA-qualified STEM majors and working toward transfer for a bachelor’s degree at a 4-year university.

Services include:

Eligible students may earn a participation stipend that could be worth over $600 each semester!
A select MESA Program team member to work closely with you throughout the semester
STEM prep jams before classes begin each semester
Group and individual tutoring
Counseling, transfer, and career preparation
Connection to industry partners, internships, and conferences
Professional development and leadership opportunities
A beautiful community of fellow STEM students at Sacramento City College
A vast network from 55 years of existence–including MESA students across California in community colleges, universities, and professionals in industry.
