MESA
Sacramento City College MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement Program) is an equity-focused program that supports students majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) pathways to transfer to a 4-year university to earn a bachelor's degree and enter a STEM career.
Two Types of MESA Participation
MESA VIP Scholars
This program is for students who are in MESA-qualified STEM majors and working toward transfer for a bachelor’s degree at a 4-year university.
Services include:
- Eligible students may earn a participation stipend that could be worth over $600 each semester!
- A select MESA Program team member to work closely with you throughout the semester
- STEM prep jams before classes begin each semester
- Group and individual tutoring
- Counseling, transfer, and career preparation
- Connection to industry partners, internships, and conferences
- Professional development and leadership opportunities
- A beautiful community of fellow STEM students at Sacramento City College
- A vast network from 55 years of existence–including MESA students across California in community colleges, universities, and professionals in industry.
