Davis Center Library Services
Davis Center students have full access to SCC Library resources.
Don’t settle for Google searches. Delve into your research with books, ebooks, articles & more.
Get Books
Books, DVDs, and other library materials can be delivered to the Davis Center from any Los Rios library. When you find the item you want in the OneSearch, click the Request button. You will be prompted to fill out a form; under “Pickup Location,” choose “SCC Davis Center.” The items will arrive in 2-4 days and can be checked out from the Davis Center LRC (Room 215). Materials can be returned at the Davis Center LRC, or at any Los Rios library.
Find Articles, Ebooks & More
Academic journals, popular magazines, newspapers, ebooks and more are available at all times via the Research Databases. Current students at the West Sacramento Center have the same access to this material as main campus students. When accessing the databases, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password, the same credentials you use to access eServices, D2L and Los Rios Gmail.

Get Research Help
The Library offers one-on-one help to Davis Center students in a variety of ways:
- The Library offers help via instant message and email through its Ask a Librarian service.
- If you visit the main campus, you can always go to the second floor of the Learning Resource Center and get help from a librarian at the Research Help desk.
Use the UC Davis Library
For a fee of $12.50 per quarter, students may check out up to five books at a time from the UC Davis Library. To obtain borrowing privileges, bring your Student Access card, proof of current enrollment, and proof of California residence (e.g. California Driver’s License or utility bill) to the Circulation Desk of Shields Library.
UC Davis provides public access to databases and e-journals from computers located inside Shields Library. Articles may be printed, but not saved to a USB drive. SCC students are not eligible to access these resources from off campus.
