New CVT Program to begin Spring 2027
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) Certificate Program is new to the Los Rios Community College District.
The application timeline is currently being finalized. However, the first application cycle is expected to begin in Fall 2026. Please check back closer to that time for updates.
Cardiovascular Technology is a highly technical allied health profession that provides an excellent career with the opportunity to provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular disease.
A Cardiovascular Technologist is a health care professional who, at the direction of a licensed physician, performs diagnostic tests which are used in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular Technology is a title used to describe three basic areas of expertise: Invasive Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Non-invasive Vascular Technology.
