SCC Panther Prints Alumni Newsletter – November 2024
Welcome message from Dr. Albert Garcia
As the President of Sacramento City College, I am pleased to welcome you back to our community. Whether you graduated last year or several decades ago, you remain an integral part of the SCC family, and we are excited to reconnect with you.
I’m proud to share that, thanks to the continued dedication of our faculty, staff, and students, SCC has seen remarkable growth in recent years. We’ve recently launched new academic programs, expanded our student support services, and built new buildings to enhance our campus facilities. The state-of-the-art Natural Sciences building is the new home for the college's Biology and Chemistry programs. The new Mohr Hall building brought much-needed spaces to foster collaboration, active learning, and innovation for programs such as Physics and Astronomy, Nursing, Physical Therapy Assistant, and Occupational Therapy Assistant. You will also see a feature below on the new Panther Cares Center which supports our students' basic needs. These developments are all designed to ensure that future generations of students have the tools and resources to succeed.
We are also deeply committed to fostering a lifelong relationship with our alumni, and we encourage you to stay involved, whether by attending events, mentoring current students, or simply sharing your experiences with us. Your success stories inspire us all, and your ongoing connection strengthens our community.
Thank you for being part of the legacy that makes Sacramento City College so special. We look forward to all that we will continue to accomplish together.
Forever Panthers!
