2026 Commencement Ceremony
Please join us in celebrating Sacramento City College's Class of 2026 in-person, outdoor graduation ceremony on:

All Summer and Fall 2025 graduates and Spring 2026 candidates will receive an email approximately early to mid April with more information and a link to RSVP for Commencement.

General Information
Who can participate in the celebration?
This celebration is for the Class of 2026.
Summer and Fall 2025 graduates and Spring 2026 candidates (who have petitioned for an Associate’s degree from SCC by the March 6, 2026 deadline) may participate in the Thursday, May 21, 2026 ceremony.
Can I participate without a cap & gown?
A camp and gown is required for participation.
Where do I get my cap, gown, and tassel?
You can purchase all graduation material at the SCC Bookstore.
Extra caps, gowns, and tassels will not be available at the ceremony. You must have your regalia when you check-in for the ceremony.
Can I purchase a cap, gown, and tassel at the SCC stadium on graduation Day?
No. There will be no sales of any kind on the day of the celebration. Graduates wishing to purchase regalia prior to the celebration may do so at the SCC Bookstore.
Can my child or other family member sit with me or walk with me during the ceremony?
No. Guests are not allowed in the graduate area.
Who do I contact if I need accommodations for disability at the ceremony?
Participating students who need specific accommodations should indicate this on the RSVP form, and someone may reach out to you to discuss your accommodations.
Can I decorate my cap?
Yes! You can decorate your cap. Please adhere to the student code of conduct when decorating your cap, but have fun! Please note, your graduation gown should not be decorated.
