The NextUP program provides comprehensive academic support and advocacy for foster youth under the age of 26 who identify as current or previous foster care recipients. By focusing on personal growth and educational achievement, the program creates economic opportunities and empowers a diverse student body to reach their full potential through personalized guidance and dedicated resources.

NextUP Eligibility

To be eligible for NextUP you must: 

  • Be a current or former foster youth whose dependency was established or continued by the court after your 13th birthday (may be required to supply verification)
  • Be no older than 25 at the beginning of any academic year you participate in NextUP
