Sacramento City College’s Industrial Maintenance Mechanical Technician program provides career options for students after a single year in the program!
This program prepares you for a multitude of different fields such as Energy, Manufacturing, Food Processing, Automated Warehousing, even Traffic Lights, and Sustainability. Upon completion of the program, graduates can make their way into a variety of career fields, earning a $55,000-$72,000 annual salary in the first year.
Graduates who have completed the program are actively recruited for great jobs in a choice of industries and their only limitation is their imagination. The opportunity available is a great motivator to find your perfect niche and pursue it.
This program provides entry-level instruction on the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of machinery. These skills cover:
- safety training
- OSHA-10 Course Completion Certification
- basics of mechanical and electrical systems
With a combination of traditional lectures, hands-on-training and training labs, this program is a unique path to employment. Additional training includes building effective writing, verbal communication, electronic communication, mechanical calculations and computer skills.
