Disclaimer: We know, we know! Life has really been coming at us fast, things really sped up after all the madness in March. Each team member of The Panthers Post is currently a full-time student of Sacramento City College and are always encouraged to prioritize academics above their production position. We appreciate your patience and support as we close out this semester.
This episode, Panthers Post spotlights Juan Martin and Lizbeth Vega as they share information and resources from the Raza Center (Student Center- 104). These two shining stars are also participants of the Puente Project, a mission created to increase the number of educationally disadvantaged students who enroll into higher education and return to their communities as mentors/leaders to future generations. Lizbeth and Juan also express how the new immigration executive orders have affected their own LatinX community. You’ll learn how SCC student Body government has stood to support and fight with ALL students affected by the new political environment. Be sure to watch all the way to the end and get a chance to experience campus life as we enjoy Career Day and see what our Career Planning Services (BUS – 153) had in store for the on-campus students!

As we are approaching our 8th week of the Spring 2025 semester, we should be feeling calm and settled in, right? No, WRONG. There’s is so much going on outside at SCC that If you’re not keeping up you’ll miss it! This episode introduces you to a couple members of SCC very own Sports Teams like The Track and Field team, Men’s Baseball and the Girls basketball team. They will discuss what it’s like navigating student responsibilities in addition to sport commitments, and their love of the game. Then check out how our favorite host is keeping up with midterm preparation, sports events, and the post!? The blooper clips will tell it all, we think she’s gone mad!

Two highly educated and respected members of the Black Diaspora here in Sacramento. Learn of the triumphant and relatable backgrounds of these two powerful individuals, and be inspired by their passion for success of the Black Community.
