Season 2: Spring 2025

S2 Episode Five: Your greatest strength is knowing who you are.

Disclaimer: We know, we know! Life has really been coming at us fast, things really sped up after all the madness in March. Each team member of The Panthers Post is currently a full-time student of Sacramento City College and are always encouraged to prioritize academics above their production position. We appreciate your patience and support as we close out this semester.

This episode, Panthers Post spotlights Juan Martin and Lizbeth Vega as they share information and resources from the Raza Center (Student Center- 104). These two shining stars are also participants of the Puente Project, a mission created to increase the number of educationally disadvantaged students who enroll into higher education and return to their communities as mentors/leaders to future generations. Lizbeth and Juan also express how the new immigration executive orders have affected their own LatinX community. You’ll learn how SCC student Body government has stood to support and fight with ALL students affected by the new political environment. Be sure to watch all the way to the end and get a chance to experience campus life as we enjoy Career Day and see what our Career Planning Services (BUS – 153) had in store for the on-campus students!

We also apologize for the audio difficulties you may experience throughout the episode–our students are continuing to learn in grow in their crafts. Thank you.
