Orientation Goals

Orientation is designed to support our First-Time College and/or Returning students, welcoming and preparing you for the start of the semester at Sacramento City College.

By participating in our optional orientation, you will: 

• Get to know SCC—our culture, campus, and community.
• Learn about our degree programs, institutional policies, and what’s expected of you as a student.
• Prepare you for your next steps such as:
  • receive a guaranteed appointment with a Success Coach/Counselor to identify your classes, class enrollment steps
  • learn to access your student accounts like eServices, Canvas, Los Rios Gmail
  • and more!
• Get your questions answered before the start of the term—our team is here to support you.
