Certificate of Achievement Requirements
Certificates of Achievement require a grade of "C" or better in each course with a minimum of 12 units completed at Sacramento City College.
Legal Studies Certificate
The legal studies certificate is designed to enhance opportunities for employment in the legal profession. For students interested in pursuing a career in the legal profession, check out the Community College Pathway to Law School.
This certificate aligns with the Law, Public Policy & Society ADT. To learn more, contact the counseling department or the faculty in the Administration of Justice Department.
Law School Transfer (2+2+3)
Community College Pathway to Law School is a transfer program designed to enhance opportunities in the legal profession for diverse populations. While racial or ethnic minorities comprise 60 percent of the California population, only 20 percent of the state’s lawyers are minorities.
Program Requirements of Law School Pathway Project
In order to successfully complete this program, the student must:
- Complete the Community College Pathway to Law School orientation
- Meet with a SCC counselor to create a Student Educational Plan
- Successfully complete the required courses while in residence at Sacramento City College
- Agree to release information pertinent to the program
- Graduate/transfer from Sacramento City College
