Application Updates
The Optical Technology program open application periods:
- Round 1:
- opens 12:00 am February 15, 2025
- closes 11:59 pm April 15, 2025
- Round 2:
- opens 12:00 am May 15, 2025
- closes 11:59 pm June 30, 2025
Enrollment in the Round 2 is dependent on available open seats.
Attend an Information Session
Start your journey by attending an information meeting. The information meetings for the 2025–2026 school year will be conducted via Zoom.
Request to Attend Form
Prospective students need to fill out the Request to Attend Informational Meeting Form to get an access code for the meeting. Please complete the form by 5:00 pm one day prior to the meeting, in order to receive an email with the access code for the Zoom meeting.
Students will learn about:
- program prerequisites
- the enrollment process
- required academic and clinical coursework
- the licensing process
- the employment outlook for OTAs

Certificates in this Program
Optical Technician Certificate
This is an academic certificate that prepares students for occupations in visual technology services.
Contact Lens Technician Certificate
This is the second certificate in the series and has common courses with the entry-level Optical Technician certificate.
