Knowing your rights can help individuals, families, and communities feel more prepared and empowered. This workshop will cover important rights and protections that are available to all, including immigration-impacted communities. Participants will learn what actions they can take during immigration-related situations, how to safely document concerns, and how to be effective allies in their communities.
Attendees will:
- Understand rights and protections available to all, specifically immigrant-impact communities.
- Learn practical steps to take during immigration-related encounters or concerns.
- Explore safe and appropriate ways to document and support community members.
- Identify ways to be an informed ally and advocate for immigrant communities.

Event Series Description
In collaboration with CHIRLA and CSU Sacramento, Los Rios Community College District Undocumented Student Resources will be co-hosting our Undocu-Knowledge Workshop Series. Our goal with this series is to empower our community with information and knowledge about a variety of immigration legal policies and student support services.
Workshops will be offered virtually and Zoom links will be provided upon registration. Please RSVP to receive the Zoom link for this event series through email.
