Internships are valuable, hands-on career learning experiences that allow students to gain practical skills, explore career interests, and build professional connections with employers. Whether you're just starting to think about internships or are ready to begin applying, this informational session will provide the guidance you need to move forward with confidence.
Join us to ask questions, learn helpful tips, and explore strategies to effectively plan, research, and apply for internships. We'll discuss how internships can support your academic and career goals, when to start the process, and how to make yourself a competitive candidate.
During this workshop, we'll cover key planning steps, including researching opportunities, preparing application materials, and understanding timelines. We'll also introduce you to internship search tools and campus resources available to support you throughout the process.
By the conclusion of the workshop, students will be able to:
- Define internships and clearly state their benefits.
- Apply the planning steps necessary to successfully prepare for an internship.
- Identify internship search strategies and resources to support their search.
