A celebration of Joan Didion on her birthday!
As a Sacramento native who studied at SCC, it will be fitting to honor her at the college with an evening of food and drink, conversation, and a full program.

Presenters
Presented by the Sacramento Historical Society (SHS) in partnership with Sacramento City College, the event will be an acknowledgment of her legacy, the recent $500,000 gift from her family and SHS to support SCC programs, and the renaming of the college’s library to the Joan Didion Learning Resources Center.
